GROUP BIO - FULL
A unique and dynamic
ensemble, Chamber Project Saint Louis explores the relationship between
performers and audience by performing in intimate settings with
programs ranging in style from classic chamber works
by Mozart and Debussy to contemporary works by Libby
Larsen and local composer Aaron Johnson. Chamber
Project has brought the audience closer to the music in venues such as
the Danforth University Center at Washington
University, the St. Louis Community College Chamber Music series at
Meramec, The Chapel-A Sanctuary for the Arts, The Wine Press in the
Central West End, and The Maryland Heights Community Center.
Chamber Project St. Louis is
comprised of Jennifer Gartley,
flute; Dana Hotle, clarinet; Adrianne Honnold, saxophone; and
Laura Reycraft, viola, and collaborates with some of the
top professional musicians in the St. Louis area including
pianists Peter Henderson and Nina Ferrigno, harpist Megan Stout,
and cellist Valentina Takova.
The four founding members of
Chamber Project Saint Louis are active as orchestral musicians and have
performed with the Saint Louis Symphony, Illinois Symphony, New World
Symphony, and the National Symphony Orchestra. They are also
committed educators, serving on the faculties of Maryville University,
McKendree University, Washington University in St. Louis, University of
Missouri St. Louis, and the Community Music School of Webster
University.
Highlights of the 2009-2010
season included the world premiere of Flash by Aaron Johnson
at the North American Saxophone Alliance's Biennial Conference, a
performance of Stephen Prina's Modern Movie Pop at the
Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis, and a collaboration with the
Ashleyliane Dance Company at COCA in April.
